Currency option contract
An option contract whose underlying is a specific amount of a foreign currency.
(1) The underlying of a foreign currency option can also be a currency futures.
(2) For example, the Montréal Exchange (Mx) offers options on the US dollar (USX).
(3) Other terms such as currency option contract, foreign currency option contract and foreign exchange option contract are sometimes used to designate a foreign currency option.
